Many people believe that truly high-paying careers – those that bring in $100,000 – are beyond their reach. But the truth is that a variety of attainable professions offer a chance at that sort of salary. You just have to be willing to put in some time and hard work.

Here are four fields in which $100k jobs are often found:

1. Accountant: Accountants perform tasks such as auditing, bookkeeping, financial advising, and tax planning. Ever-increasing globalization and a rash of financial scandals in the early 2000s have grown the demand for honest accountants with a comprehensive understanding of their field. Becoming a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) requires licensure in addition to a college degree.

Top end salary: $102,380 Annually*

How to get there: Complete your Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and pass the Certified Public Accountant (CPA) exam. Work as a CPA while earning your Master’s degree in Accounting or MBA – Accounting. More than five years of workplace experience combined with a master’s-level accounting education can put six-figure positions within your reach.

[Search for accounting degree programs now!]

2. Advanced Practice Nurse: Nurses perform the bulk of day-to-day healthcare duties, from evaluating patients to providing front-line care. Advanced practice nursing includes four specialties – clinical nurse specialists, nurse anesthetists, nurse-midwives and nurse practitioners. All have advanced education and licensure requirements.

Top end salary: $101,098 Annually**

How to get there: Complete your Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) and pass the National Council Licensure Examination – Registered Nurse (NCLEX-RN). Work as an RN while earning your Master’s of Science in Nursing (MSN). About 10 years of workplace experience, combined with an MSN degree and licensure in your chosen specialty, can allow you to seriously compete for six-figure nursing positions.

[Search for nursing degree programs now!]

3. Pharmacist: Pharmacists prepare and dispense critical medication prescribed to patients by their doctors. They often monitor the health and progress of those patients to make sure they are using their medications properly, and they will consult with the doctor if they believe changes are required. Becoming a pharmacist has advanced education and licensure requirements.

Top end salary: $131,440 Annually*

How to get there: Complete your associate’s degree in a science field such as chemistry or biology, then apply to a Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) program (most do not require a bachelor’s degree to enroll). Work as a pharmacy assistant or pharmacy technician while earning your PharmD. Once you complete your PharmD you must pass the North American Pharmacist Licensure Exam (NAPLEX). More than five years of workplace experience, combined with a PharmD degree and required licensure, can put six-figure positions within your reach.

[Search for pharmacy degree programs now!]

4. Software Engineer: Software engineers create, test, maintain and update the software that allows computers to perform their functions. However, they typically do more than code in a computer language; software engineers are often responsible for all phases of software design and development. Becoming a software engineer has a moderate education requirement but your computer skills must be exceptional.

Top end salary: $128,870 Annually*

How to get there: Complete your Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering. Work as a software engineer while gaining proficiency with the latest coding languages and development tools. Earning advanced credentials such as the Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or a master’s degree can help you advance, but are not strictly necessary. About 10 years of workplace experience, combined with keeping up to date with the newest technology, can put six-figure positions within your reach.

We are going to cover some hard facts, reveal some deceptions and show you some pretty amazing information that will probably make your blood boil at the major scam the FDA and special interest, through major pharmaceutical companies has attempted to pull over the entire world.

The anti-smoking groups say they are worried about my lungs, but it is accepted (peer reviewed) in real science that inhaling combusted material is the real killer in tobacco cigarettes, account for the vast majority of health related illnesses in smokers. This is also the basis of second hand or side stream smoke hurting bystanders, not the nicotine. You can read more of my thoughts and other information on the subject of e cigarettes hurting your lungs here.

This is real e cigarettes facts vs their fiction and propaganda. Ready? Let’s get the ball rolling.

In 2009 the FDA “Tested” e cigs and then reported that e cigarette “may” be dangerous because they had a poison called Diethylene glycol. So they were stating that they may kill you. They tested 18 cartridges and found 1 cartridge that they claim had this dangerous poison, but the fact is that they had found only trace amounts, so much less that 1,000th of 1%.
Fact: Diethylene glycol is toxic, but not at the levels that they found.

Their testing has already been debunked and the information is publicly available online. You can check the information and testing on the FDA test here.

Diethylene glycol is used as a humectant in tobacco products such as tobacco cigarettes, cigars and other tobacco products. So there is nothing in e cigarettes so far that is any more dangerous that tobacco you can buy anywhere in the United States at this time.

The FDA states that Electronic cigarettes are not known to be safer than tobacco cigarettes. Another lie!

The CDC has associated tobacco smoke with over 4,000 toxic chemicals, many of them known to be carcinogenic.  A short list of the toxic chemicals (some of them may be known to you) found in tobacco smoke:

•             Acetone (fingernail polish remover)
•            Cadmium (used in batteries)
•            Carbon Monoxide (car exhaust)
•            Hydrogen Cyanide (poison)
•            Arsenic (poison)
•            DDT/Dieldrin (pesticide banned in the 1970’s)
•            Ethanol (alcohol)
•            Butane (lighter fluid)
•            Ammonia
•            Methane
•            Polonium 210 (poison, radioactive)

Even though the facts directly contradict the FDA stance, they still carry their little lies directly under their wing by stating: FDA Is Unwilling To Quantify The Safety Of E Cigarettes As Compared To Traditional Cigarettes.

Next the FDA claimed that Electronic cigarettes are appealing to children due to the different flavors cartridges are available in. But then Perrigo Receives FDA Approval to Market Cherry and Cinnamon Flavored Nicotine Lozenges. Hmm…that’s interesting. We also covered this deception here with more in depth information.

You can find flavored products all over the U.S. in every store that are intended for adults. Flavored cough syrups, energy drinks, energy shots, personal lubricants, and more are in almost every store in the nation, but you never hear the FDA, Big Pharma or the anti smoking groups screaming about them from the rooftops. Almost all of them can be deadly if you take too much, but they are on shelves that any toddler can reach as they stroll through the store with their Mom.

The FDA claims that Approved stop smoking products are safe, electronic cigarettes are not.

Chantix and Zyban are known killers and now have a black box warning because each has had over 100 deaths directly tagged to these brands, but the FDA refuses to remove them from the market.

Did you know that it was recently reported that the FDA is the number one killer in the U.S. now because of deadly pharmaceuticals and equipment that are approved and deemed safe by the FDA?

The FDA also stated Tobacco-specific impurities, cotinine, anabasine, myosmine, and β-nicotyrine were found in half of the cartridge samples tested. They also failed to tell you that they are specific to nicotine and are found in cosmetics, foods and all kinds of other products including the patch and gum that are FDA approved and deemed safe.

They are also found in tobacco products at much higher concentrations than the electronic cigarette.

Cotinine is a metabolite of nicotine and is found in tobacco cigarettes.  The Foundation for Blood Research states that cotinine itself is not known to be harmful.

Anabasine is found in all tobacco products. This means they are in all nicotine products, where nicotine comes from. Another farce from the FDA and their cronies.

Nitrosamines are commonly found in cosmetics, but are not listed on labels because they are considered “impurities”.  Personal care products including mascara, conditioner, baby shampoo, and others may contain nitrosamines. But the FDA does not mention that! Sounds like a lot of fear mongering to me.

All of these test that the FDA done just justifies what e cig users and harm reduction specialist have been stating all along.

There have been over 17 known test, trials and studies by world renowned tobacco specialist from around the world that have stated that the e cigarette is from 100 to 1,000 times safer than tobacco cigarettes, so why does the FDA, special interest (anti smoking groups) and big pharma keep attacking e cigarettes?

It is simple if you look at the facts. The governments across the US make a lot of money from these crazy taxes they get from tobacco. Big pharma stands to lose right at half(according to studies by qualified professionals) of their 2.3 billion a year cessation product sales, and that would cut funding to the anti smoking groups. This does not count what big tobacco would lose and they are all in a panic of potential loses and are trying anything they can to stop the increased growth of the e cigarette.

What about the American Cancer Society? How much do they stand to lose in funding if you cut smoking related cancer in half?
There’s just so much potential growth. A recent smoking cessation report from consultancy firm Visiongain says, “E-Cigarettes will revolutionize the face of tobacco smoking and could pose a threat to the smoking cessation market.”
Visiongain is a trading partner with the US Federal Government. CCR Ref number: KD4R6.

This should tell you the Government is in a real pickle over e cigarettes and stand to lose billions in revenues from smokers.

Repost from Yahoo News, Sept 21, 2012 by Chris Wilson

Want to know who the next president will be? Your favorite football team may just have the answer…

Every four years since 2000, 7-Eleven has conducted a coffee cup poll, with the sales of candidate-branded coffee cups correctly predicting the actual winner in November three times in a row. Sales of Halloween masks of the two major-party candidates have predicted the next president since 1996, and the Scholastic News poll of students has been right 16 of the last 18 elections, going back to 1940.

We have a natural ability to find patterns—even made-up ones—in the noise of the universe. People like the idea that one factor can encapsulate the thousands of data points that go into the real election. It’s all nonsense, of course. While we might expect something like coffee cups or mask sales to loosely align with the real outcome, the fact that these trends have a winning streak going is pure luck. In a crowded field of numbers, some events will randomly align with the results of the American presidential election (or the stock market, the planets, pistachio sales, whatever).

And that’s how we got the Redskins Rule, a prediction that has a tradition of accuracy even better than Scholastic’s survey. It goes like this:

If the Washington Redskins win their last home game before the election, the incumbent party retains the White House. Otherwise, the out-of-power party wins.

This pattern has failed only once since 1940, though which year it failed is something of a debate on Wikipedia, depending whether one honors a retroactive change to the rule to recognize the winner of the popular vote.

To belabor the point that these rules are just coincidences, I concocted a rule for every NFL franchise. (Well, I exploited a computer to try every combination for me.) For example, here is the Broncos Rule:

If Denver rushes for more than 106 yards in its fifth game of the season, the incumbent party wins. Otherwise, the out-of-power party wins.

This rule has held for every election since the Denver Broncos’ first season in 1960, when the Broncos ran for 104 yards on 22 carries against the Los Angeles Chargers on Oct. 16, dooming Richard Nixon and turning the White House over to the Democrats.

Here is the Patriots Rule, true for 12 of the past 13 elections:

If New England commits fewer turnovers than its opponent in the team’s first away game, the out-of-power party will win the White House. Otherwise, the incumbent party wins.

When I presented my findings to Steve Hirdt, the Elias Sports Bureau executive who discovered the Redskins Rule in 2000, he wasn’t impressed.

His rule, he pointed out, uses only “the simplest of statistics and involves the team you would want it to involve”—that is, Washington’s team. It also occurs right before the election.

For a team that’s been around since 1960, the odds of any statistic matching up every four years with the election results is only 1 in 4,096. That’s 12 coin flips in a row all landing on heads. (There have been 13 elections since 1960, but the first year is a freebie because it establishes the trend.) To find a rule for every franchise, I had to start concocting absurd combinations of game statistics, giving way to rules like the 49ers Rule:

If San Francisco scores at least 1.5 points for every completion in its third home game of the season, the Democrat wins. Otherwise, the Republican wins.

The odds of the Redskins Rule being true 17 out of 18 times, if you figure there’s an average of a 50-50 chance that either candidate wins over time, are about 1 in 14,500.

But it is impossible that there is any actual connection between the Redskins and national politics. Right?

Unless you have a persuasive theory for why the Redskins Rule is nonrandom—and I’d love to hear it—we have to conclude that we are very lucky to live in a universe where the odds of so simple a rule working out came true. In the meantime, here are the less elegant rules for every other franchise. The data comes from Pro-Football-Reference.com.

Reposted from original post from Wendy Thomas on www.Software.Intel.com…

Everyone wants to make a good first impression, right? If you have a brick and mortar building for your business, you want visitors to feel welcomed as soon as they come through the door. The same is true for online landing and welcome pages – you want the individual to be attracted enough to stay on the page, and interested enough to either leave you their email address immediately, or start engaging with your business in some way.Items to include on a landing page:

    • Call to action – do you want people to ‘like’ you, join your mailing list, answer a question, or something else?

    • Clear benefit or incentive for person to respond to the call to action (for instance, a 30% off coupon for a product or service; early bird offer; instant updates)

    • Links (no more than 3) to detailed information about your services. Link to your a short video you’ve created, a specific product page, or your website, as examples

    • Personal touch that lets the person know there are people behind the company (for example, headshots of relevant team members, or of the people managing the page; use of “you” and “your” in the text instead of “we”)

    • Bulleted lists if there is a lot of content to read. In today’s fast-paced world, people don’t want to take the time to read paragraph of information, so make short, relevant points they can scan.

    • Visual appeal so that the eyes want to stay on the page, you want colors that are easy on the eyes and text fonts that are easy to read
When you have a landing page that combines a clear call-to-action with a very clear incentive for someone to like your business page, you gain a lot of traction to building attention quickly.Once you have a welcome page you’re happy with, don’t stop there. Refresh the content at least every few weeks. Experiment with placement of content and see if you get more responses to your call-to-action when content moves from one location to another.Another way to think about the Facebook welcome page is it can be a mini version of your website’s landing page. The number of Facebook users is over 845 million, so if you can create and promote an engaging landing page, you’ll have access to a lot of potential customers who aren’t congregated anywhere else as productively. And Facebook has an analytics tool called Facebook Insights so you can track metrics on who is engaging with you, their demographics, who they are sharing your content with, and more. With the tool, you’ll be able to know if you’re tracking toward the social media goals your company has set.Of course you can hire out to create your welcome page, but if you want to try it yourself, here are a few tools you can investigate:

    • Pagemodo.com – This free tool offers “a wide variety of gorgeous and customizable templates, easy-to-add features like slideshows, videos, contact forms, and maps, and powerful social media tools like fan coupons and ‘like’ gates.”
    • Wildfire Social Media Marketing – Wildfire is offering a free iFrame application to help with designing a welcome page. This may be a temporary free offer, so check it out as soon as you can.
    • iwipa.com – This free tool is inside Facebook. So you click this link, sign onto Facebook, and you’re ready to install the application, or read more about it. It’s a great marketing tool at a minimum – the company helps you set up your own page by having you interact with its page.
    • HyperArts Blog – This blog is loaded with information for do-it-yourselfers. It is loaded with tutorials for the development of Facebook business pages. Everything appears to be free, so time invested should only be in how quickly you read and can apply the information.
There is an art to making, attracting and keeping your “fans” engaged in your social media circle… but, it can pay huge dividends!  Many business owners don’t have the time, skill set or desire to manage their social media presence.  But, not to worry… there is a company that has helped a TON of business owners get started with social media & they can probably help you as well!

What’s The Buzz About Social Media Managers?!?!

Prior to the rise of the internet, most businesses depended on offline marketing tactics. As the web expanded, many businesses ventured online by creating a website to represent their company. These sites were developed to rank high in search engines for specific keywords.

For example, a dentist located in Long Island, NY, would create a site which used the keywords “dentist in Long Island” and try to get other websites to post links back to his site in order to make search engines like Google show the site in results when web searchers typed in those keywords. This is known as SEO, or “search engine optimization”.

Locating a business website was soon not enough for many online searchers, who wanted to not only find a dentist in Long Island, but to find out what people were saying about the dentist’s practice. Review sites sprang up all over the web, but these were easily manipulated by businesses posting positive reviews for themselves and negative reviews about their competitors.

More and more internet users started turning to social networking sites to get real time, honest information about local businesses from their peers. The social platforms responded by making their sites more user friendly for business use. The direct access to consumers and easy modes of interaction make social sites a perfect place to attract potential new customers, clients or patients. That is why Social Media Managers are one of the hottest emerging job opportunities in the World right now!

Why businesses don’t do their own social media marketing?

Many business owners have no idea how to use these platforms effectively for brand promotion and reputation management, and cannot devote the time to managing and monitoring multiple social accounts. The answer for them is to devote a portion of their budget to social media marketing, and start looking for someone to do this job for them.

This is where Social Media Managers come in. Having someone trustworthy and knowledgeable to take the entire job of social networking off their hands is precisely what most business owners are looking for. Recent surveys show that an ever increasing number of businesses plan to spend more money on social media marketing in the immediate future.

Despite the need for social media management, most small to mid-range sized businesses will not hire someone in-house. There often aren’t enough hours to justify creating a position for a social media manager, and freelancers are often simpler to work with since business owners can hire them by the job or the month as needed.

Now is the time to get into the business of social media management, while demand is high and there are not enough savvy social marketers to go around. If you enjoy spending time online and using social networks, a career in social media management can be both fulfilling and financially rewarding!

There are six steps in the process of becoming a social media expert. The first few have to do with familiarizing yourself with your workplace and establishing yourself online!

The Social Networks

If you spend very much time on line, you are probably already familiar with social networking, and may even have accounts on one or more of the following sites. There are six main social platforms (among hundreds on the web) which can directly benefit small, mid-sized and large businesses (including your own!)

Facebook is a social networking site that had its beginnings as a sort of online college yearbook created by Harvard students. It has since expanded to be one of the most popular social sites on the web, allowing both personal profiles and business pages to post information, images, videos, polls and more. When a user “Likes” a Facebook profile or Page, they can view all of their posts by that account on a “Timeline”.

Businesses need a Facebook Page in order to remain competitive. A Facebook Page is one of the easiest ways to start gaining brand recognition online, and can be used for advertising, promotional offers and giveaways as well as providing a place to interact with customers, clients or patients by sharing information, providing advice and answering questions or concerns.

Twitter was created as an internal text messaging system for a pod casting company, and has become one of the most used social sites in the world. The short, 140 character “Tweets” provide a way to quickly communicate small nuggets of information. When a user “Follows” a Twitter account, they can view all Tweets by that account in a “Feed”.

Businesses need a Twitter account in order to monitor what is being said about their brand in real time, to deliver information and encourage engagement from fans, and even to deliver fast customer service if needed in response to a complaint or question.

LinkedIn is a social network which was created specifically for networking between professionals, and can act as an online business card. When a user creates a profile, they can search for others in the same field or industry and invite them to “Connect”. Those who are connected can view updates posted by their connections in a rolling feed.

Businesses need a LinkedIn account because it is the most professional social networking site on the web. Users can join groups to network with others in their field, and stay up to date on industry news, business opportunities, and job postings. This platform is especially helpful for those looking to create B2B connections.

Google is currently the largest search engine on the web, and has its own social networking platform known as Google +. With a Google profile, users can create “Circles” that include different types of contacts, and share content with specific groups while viewing content from users they follow in a “Stream”.

YouTube is a video sharing network owned by Google and integrated with Google +. Users can upload videos, share, comment on and vote for their favorites. Businesses or individuals can create channels which can be subscribed to by others who then receive notifications when new videos are posted.

Businesses need a Google Profile and YouTube account in order to share information to select groups of people, and tap into the power of visual digital media. Studies show that internet users respond more readily to images and videos than to solely text based content.

Pinterest is one of the newest social sites on the web. It was created as a way to collect and share like images. Users can “Pin” images to “Boards”, and follow other users to like, comment on or “Repin” their pins. This can be an incredible marketing tool for product based businesses.

Businesses need a Pinterest account to engage image driven consumers and to strengthen brand recognition. Pinning images from topics both directly and indirectly related to a business’ industry or niche can attract a wide range of potential customers.

7 Reasons Why Your Business MUST Hire A Social Media Manager!!!

1. Audit Your Existing Online Presence!

Your Online Consultant will evaluate your current web presence by looking at your website, blog, traffic solutions and existing social media presence. A lot of businesses do have some online presence. However, quite often, businesses take advice from web designers and their IT staff and end up making a right mess of their online marketing.

2. Determine Which Platforms Work Best For Your Business!

The fast paced business may enjoy Twitter but could be missing out on the huge potential of Facebook and LinkedIn. We have also met clients who only use aspects of Facebook and ignore the likes of Twitter and YouTube.

Having an online presence on just 1 or 2 platforms can be detrimental to your business – by doing so you are effectively shooting yourselves in the foot.

For any business, you need to be using several Social Media Platforms to maximise your business’s exposure on the web. If you have no online exposure whatsoever, again the easiest way to get web presence is via the use of sites such as Facebook and Twitter.

3. Create And Manage Your Online Presence!

Whether you have an online presence or not, your Online Consultant will ensure that you maintain a strong online existence that matches your business’s practices and ethics. Your Accounts and profiles will be created and then managed for you.

Whether you are looking for only basic online presence in the form of for example Facebook and Twitter accounts or more detailed content creation & distribution, audience building and basic reputation management across your social media platforms, your Social Media Manager can handle this all for you.

4. Clean Up Your Profiles!

Your Consultant will periodically clean up your inbox and direct messages that you may receive on Twitter or messages you receive on Facebook or LinkedIn.

All too often both business and personal social media profiles can get cluttered with a lot of useless information and spam. You only have to take a brief look on Facebook to see the many business and personal profiles that are managed poorly and hence show up a lot of spam and inappropriate information on their pages.

Cleaning up profiles can be quite a laborious job as some of our business clients get over a 100 unwanted messages a day across their social networking platforms. There are programs that can be applied to simplify the method but it is best to have a human eye determine what spam is and what may be important information. Too often the programs available cannot distinguish between automatic direct messages and ‘real’ messages and will hence delete all of them.

5. Handle All Status Updates!

As a business, it is important to keep your online sites alive and active. To ensure this, you need to make regular updates across your platforms. Your Online Consultant will post pre-approved status updates to make it easier for your business to focus on what you do best.

6. Work Closely With You!

Sometimes, businesses may feel that they are not being authentic if they are not answering all of their ‘tweets’ or messages on the different platforms themselves. Your Online Consultant will not post anything that has not already been approved or sent to you in advance. Hence, anything that is posted, will appear as if it was posted by the business itself.

Your Online Consultant is here to support the digital relationship and engagement that is necessary for your business to succeed in the online world. Your Social Media Manager will take all the headaches and overwhelm off your shoulders and will partner with you and help you with all the technological aspects that you may or may not have time to learn.

Some businesses may have the knowledge of the technological aspects of Social Media. This is great, however, to execute a full blown Marketing Plan via this medium can be very tedious and time consuming.

Any business person from any field can benefit from a Social Media Manager or Virtual Assistant. Your Online Consultant can post articles for you on your blog and research content to be shared on the different social media platforms.

In essence, your Online Consultant will work closely with you to allow you to focus on building and growing your business. And the great news is, the above can be done for you using a completely ‘hands-off’ approach. Your Social Media Manager is able to manage everything for you leaving you to concentrate on running your business.

7. Will Save You Money!

A good Online Consultant is a valuable asset for any business as he will save you money in more than one way.

Did you know that you could spend less for more return if you were to harness the marketing strategies and techniques that work today? A lot of our clients no longer need to use traditional advertising such as Newspaper, Yellow Pages, TV and Radio advertising to bring in new business. Their customers now come to them rather than the business having to actively search for new clients, and all for less than their current advertising spend!

Your Online Consultant can help you to create and maintain a strong local marketing presence and gain market share in your particular niche.

A full time Social Media Manager is a valuable asset to any business and hence demands a very high salary. By outsourcing the Social Media element of your business to a Social Media Manager, you can save your business thousands, and at the same time gain the expertise of an established expert who is in very much high demand today.

Dr Javaid Kiyani is the Managing Director of Magnetic Marketing Services, which specialises in providing social media and online marketing solutions for your business. We are Social Media Managers and Consultants based near Birmingham, UK.

Our Social Media Strategies are currently being used by businesses all over the country. As a Social Media Agency, we stay up to date with the latest technologies, strategies and techniques ensuring our customers and clients are using the most up to date methods.

Did You Know That Businesses All Over The World Are Paying People Just Like You Up To $65 Per Hour To Do Simple Jobs On Facebook, YouTube And Twitter?

These Are Real Social Media Jobs On Facebook And Twitter For Legitimate Businesses That Pay You Cash And You Can Begin Right Away!
As you know, businesses of all sizes are getting a presence on social media sites right now. Think of how many business profiles you have seen on Facebook and Twitter, for all types of business right from the big giants like McDonald’s and CocaCola, down to your local hardware store. Every business is trying to get attention on social media sites and get more fans, likes, tweets and followers.

All of this takes time, knowledge and persistence which many business owners are short on because they are busy with the day to day running of their businesses. So they are outsourcing all of this work on the social media sites such as Facebook and Twitter to other people. These people are called Social Media Managers, and right now it is the most in demand job in the World.

Ok, So… What Exactly Is A Social Media Manager And How Can You Become One?

Just a year or two ago the job of ‘Social Media Manager’ didn’t exist. In fact, this whole job category is still so new that you can’t even study or learn how to do it anywhere. No universities offer degrees in it, no schools have classes about it, there are no training certificates available. Yet ‘Social Media Jobs’ are the fastest growing job category in the world.

According to Inc Magazine 91% of all businesses are attempting to use social media to promote themselves. That means that there are hundreds of millions of businesses worldwide that are either right now, or soon will be, looking to hire a social media manager for their business. Just take a look at how many jobs are posted on this one site for Social Media Manager positions.

In fact experts are estimating that the demand for Social Media Managers may be as high as 10,000 to 1, which give you a pretty good chance of getting hired we think. Just take a look at this article from AOL jobs, full time salaries for social media managers range from $45,000 to six figures and hourly rates can be as high as $200 per hour! Say goodbye to this crappy economy or supplement your current income by doing something FUN!

That means that the current supply of Social Media Managers can’t possibly meet the demand from small businesses. If this seems crazy to you just think of how many businesses from your local area that you have seen advertising on Facebook, creating twitter accounts, promoting through Facebook Fanpages, putting videos on YouTube. Social media marketing is huge right now and it is creating demand for ALOT of Social Media Manager jobs. So, who do you think they are hiring for all of these jobs?

There aren’t thousands of university graduates flocking out of school applying for these positions, because they don’t exist. Very few other professionals or marketing agents have any experience with social media marketing or social media jobs and NO ONE is formally trained in how to do these jobs!

So where does this leave all of these millions of businesses who are looking to hire social media managers to help out with their social media marketing?

Businesses Are Paying People Like You To
Manage Their Facebook And Twitter Profiles!

Businesses are hiring people just like you to work for them on a part time basis to help them with their social media marketing. Almost all of the people getting hired for these social media jobs online are people just like you who have no experience with marketing of any kind, have never worked in social media before and until just before they got hired they had never even heard of a ‘Social Media Manager’!
There are millions of businesses worldwide looking to hire people JUST LIKE YOU to help them with their social media activities!

Most of these social media jobs do not require you to be highly technical or have years of marketing experience. Heck, NO ONE has years of experience being a social media manager, because the job hasn’t even existed for that long! Most of the jobs that you will be doing basically involve you managing the social media profiles for businesses such as their Facebook page, Twitter profile and YouTube account and helping the business to engage more with their customers.

Whilst that is it in a nutshell, there is of course more to it if you want to be really successful with it and make serious money. You have to know where to find the jobs, how to apply for them, what to say in your application, the types of work you will be expected to do, how to actually do the work, how to get paid etc.

Reposted from www.4bn.co.uk (4 Business Networking) – Sandra Forrest

Facebook continues to be the social media platform of choice for many businesses.

So we spoke with top Facebook experts to find out the hottest marketing tips businesses need to know today.

1: Leverage videos more effectively on Facebook with Open Graph

My hottest tip is for those who sell products or services on their websites and have Like buttons attached to them: Share videos, not just still images!

Let me explain. When someone likes a product or service on your website, a story will be displayed on Facebook with a title, a description and an image.

But if you have a video of this specific product or service, you can make the stories published a lot more appealing!

Imagine that every time someone likes a product, it will share a video showing that product in an attractive way or a demo of how to benefit from it—or if it’s a service, an interview of a client saying how he benefited from your service. The possibilities are limitless.

In the example below, when you like a vacation club of this travel company, you will share a video tour of that club. A lot more appealing than a 150-pixel–wide image:

2: Experiment with posting outside business hours

You have a fan page for your business, so it stands to reason you’ll want to publish your posts during business hours, right? That’s partially true. However, you may be missing out on reaching a huge portion of your fans by not posting outside business hours!

So experiment with posting during early morning periods (4 am-7 am ET), late evenings (10 pm-12 am ET) and on weekends. Then track what type of response you get. Don’t just try it one time and stop; mix it up each week. For example, let’s say you currently post on your fan page twice a day—make one post during business hours and the other post either early morning or late evening.

A recent study of 20 popular brands by Yesmail revealed that “campaigns deployed between 10 pm-12 am ET were an engagement goldmine. Based on volume, however, this time slot was the least utilized for deployment.” And, “The most popular time of day to deploy campaigns was between 11 am-1 pm ET, while paradoxically, this time slot was in the bottom 30% in terms of engagement.”

Another study based on 200 fan pages by Buddy Media shows that “ engagement is highest at 4 am, 7 am, and 11 pm, but that brands post the most during business hours.”

By the way, be sure to keep an eye on the location of your fans in your Facebook Page Insights. This is critical to know in which global time zones most of your fans reside.

3: Find creative ways to add more photos

Visual marketing is winning. Sharing photos is still the best way to get interaction. Photos are more visible than sharing a link and take up more space in the newsfeed than any other type of post.

Think of different ways you can incorporate more photos. If you are linking to a blog post, upload an image from the post as a photo and then share the link within the status update.

If you have a quote, find a good royalty-free image and add the quote to it.

If you need something created to illustrate a particular point, find a good graphic artist to help you. If you are sharing a large infographic, create a smaller picture of it, and then link to the entire post in the status update.

When people comment on or like photos, they can show up in the newsfeed of their friends and are more noticeable than a link or plain text status update.

If people share the photo, your Facebook page name travels with that photo even if a friend of a fan then shares it. So your page is becoming more viral. Try incorporating more photos into your posts for a week and measure your results!

4: Use Sponsored Posts

You want content from your page to reach your fans. However, because your content is competing not only with other businesses, but also with all of your fans’ friends, most of your content won’t likely be seen in your fans’ newsfeeds.

Only 16% of brand content organically reaches your fans on average.

Page Post ads allow you to have increased reach for content you want to ensure is seen by more people. For as little as $10, or as much as you’d like, you can reach a greater percentage of your fans through a Facebook ad. The content will show up in your fans’ newsfeeds as a Sponsored Post, and is an excellent way to get more impressions, likes and clicks!

We’ve used Sponsored Post ads successfully for dozens of clients and for our own Likeable Media page (see image below).

Sponsored Post ads are best for already-compelling content, such as videos, free whitepapers or webinar offers, or special deals. Plus, you can test Sponsored Post ads at really small budgets with little risk and then scale up based on your success.

5: Involve your fans in product decisions

It’s always great to have a big response when rolling out a new product. Whether that product is an information product or a physical product, involve your fans in designing an element of it.

As close to the product launch as possible, ask your fans for their input. Create a sense of urgency by sharing that you are making a final decision shortly and need their input now. If appropriate, include photos of the possible choices.

When you launch the product, thank them for their input and share what you decided on.

Recently we wanted to highlight and sell a bunch of soy candles. I asked on Facebook what scents our customers wanted me to make that day and got 72 responses.

We made most of what was asked for and later that day, we posted a photo of the candles.

Our post stated that they were available on the website, and we sold a majority of the candles within an hour. By getting your customers’ input into the products you offer, they feel a sense of ownership and are more likely to purchase and share your product with others.

6: Utilize the new scheduling tool

Facebook allows page admins to schedule a post to be published at a later time. This type of functionality has previously been available through third-party publishing platforms, but is now accessible to everyone in the native Facebook environment.

Given the continuing unresolved reports that posts scheduled via third parties sometimes receive lower exposure in the newsfeed, there may be reasons to consider using this tool.

Using the scheduling tool can help ensure your messages are delivered at the optimal time to reach your audience, especially when used in conjunction with the location targeting feature.

Aside from not having to log in to post something at a specific time, you can save time by mapping out your communications plan and scheduling multiple messages in advance.

It’s important that not all communication be premeditated in order to remain timely and genuine, but many messages are appropriate for advance scheduling. And don’t forget to consider promoting your post to gain even greater reach!

7: Use contests to get more fans

Every day our users ask us the same question: “How do I get more fans?” Unfortunately, my answer is pretty boring: “It depends.” There are tons of ways to market your Facebook page and some are better than others. It really depends on your audience and your style of managing the page.

However, one method that I’ve seen work across the board is Facebook contests.

Contests have three main benefits: Getting existing fans to join the conversation, encouraging their friends to join in too and collect information from your fans, such as an email address. That information can be useful for bringing your marketing efforts outside of Facebook—with fans’ permission, of course.

Facebook contests are an effective way to market your Facebook page and there are many third-party apps out there that make it really simple and most importantly, compliant with Facebook’s Promotion Guidelines. Best of all, there is a contest app that will fit your budget. Prices for contest apps range from free to five figures a month.

It’s important to remember that not every Facebook contest is the same. Businesses have to test out different types of contests such as photo or video contests and see which resonates with their audience.

Marketing on Facebook is a trial-and-error process and an ever-changing challenge. Understanding your target audience and offering up incentives for existing fans to continue to check in with your business and new fans to follow your business are key to lasting success.

What do you think? Have you used these Facebook marketing tactics?

Love to get your feedback & comments…

To your success,

Nathan

First Date Advice: 10 Signs That She’s Into You

By

So you’ve met someone new. Perhaps it was online, at work or out with friends last weekend. You’ve exchanged a few text messages or phone calls, and have set plans for your first date. This date will tell a lot about your possible feature relationship. If it goes well, it could be the first of many memories together, but otherwise it’s back to the dating pool for you. But is there a way to tell how well the first date is really going? Here we have 10 rock solid signs that she’s into you. Many of these women do without even thinking about it. So if you can learn to ready these signs, you’ll be ahead of the game. If you receive at least 3 of these, then rest assured. She’s into you.

1- Constant Smiling
Our desire to smile is controlled on a deep physiological level. She’ll have a hard time not smiling if she’s having a good time.

2- Extended Eye Contact
If she constantly looks you in the eye while talking or makes extended eye contact, that is a clear sign of her interest in you. It shows she’s captivated in you and what you have to say.

3- Plays with Her Hair
This is something many people have heard before, but it’s still just as true. This is sort of a subconscious reflex. If a girl constantly plays with her hair on the date it’s a sign that she’s nervous or excited (or hopefully both). If she’s a little nervous on your first date, take that as a positive sign. It means she likes you and wants it to go well. If she’s far to relaxed or nonchalant, that could be a bad omen.

4- She Gestures a Lot When She Talks
Similar to playing with her hair, it’s also a very positive sign if she gestures a lot with her hands while talking. This is a subconscious way of trying to emphasize what she’s saying. It shows you that she’s excited to be talking to you.

5- Leans in While Talking To You
While your chatting, notice if she leans in towards you when she speaks. It’s an especially good sign if she leans and gestures a lot when talking. This is her wanting to grab your attention and trying to make what she’s saying more interesting and exciting.

6- Laughs at Even Your Worst Jokes
Turns out that you might not be as funny as you though. If a girl is really into you, she’ll laugh at even some of your worst jokes. It’s not even so much that she’s being fake, because here reason might go a little deeper than that. Whey you like someone, you’re subconsciously predisposed to want to like what they say and do. So it’s more of a case that she wants to like you’re jokes than she actually thinks you’re the next Jerry Seinfeld.

7- Positive Body Language
According to research done by UCLA professor Albert Mehrabian, only about 7% of communication comes from the words we say. Around 38% is based on our tone of voice, and a whopping 55% from our body language. Wow, that means there’s a lot going on besides what she’s saying. Plus a lot of her body language happens without her thinking about it. So that means if you pay attention, you can get a pretty good read as to what she’s thinking on your date.

8- Touches Your Arm to Emphasize Her Points
Whenever a girl initiates physical contact, it’s always a good sign. Whether it’s a subtle touch while she’s talking, playfully punching you on the arm or even thumb wrestling. If she initiates some type of physical contact, then take that as an indication of interest on her part.

9- Pays You A Compliments
A big part of a first date is getting to know each other. If while you’re talking she pays you a legitimate complement on something, that’s a good sign. But don’t let it go to your head, because it might be that she’s just being nice. However, if this complement is coupled with other indications of interest from this list, then it’s a very positive sign.

10- Asks When You Two Are Going To See Each Other Again.
This may seem like sort of a no-brainer, but there’s more to this that meets the eye. Most women want the guy to peruse them and initiate future dates. It makes them feel desired and special when the guy chases after them. So if she’s hinting at or asking about seeing you again, then that’s a very good sign.
